The Naked Gun reminds me that the social media-era of comedy has been so focused on doing bits that we’d forgotten about just plain gags. Boy, does it feel good to sit in a movie theatre and see some honest to goodness gags.

young singers need to learn that they don’t need to always put so much sauce on the biscuit. sometimes a straight delivery showcases the voice more than a constant run. a vocal run is effective as an exclamation point. if everything ends in an exclamation point, every statement loses its impact.

not in love with this trend of folks reacting to movies that have a ton of studio logos at the beginning. like, films aren’t getting any cheaper. cinema costs money, and if you want to avoid the generative AI menace, it’s gonna take a lot of studios to make the dream happen.
