This is the official spokesperson for the White House, stating that the President hopes to deploy the United States military to occupy every city controlled by the political party that opposes him. Explicitly.
Leavitt: "These are the bad guys that we are picking up in Washington DC every day. The president would love to do this in every Democrat-run city across the country."

There will be many small moments in our lives moving forward that require a little bit of quiet bravery, of holding your breath while you do the necessary thing. And if your conscience is formed you will see those moments, and you will do those things. That level of bravery becomes your new baseline

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

A deer with a stick crown: folk horror

A stick crown and fangs: creature horror

It's disembowelling you: gore horror

You grow fur and horns: body horror

You're the deer now: possession horror

You make these tiny mortals worship you, the horned god: cosmic horror

You will do readings where no one shows up. You will set up at events and sell no books. Rejection will show up in your inbox again and again. You will say “I wrote a book!” and folks will stay quiet or say “Cool!” and then not buy it. It’s all good. Part of the gig. KEEP AT IT.

My starter pack needs more space than the 150 allotted so I’ll make a part two of horror folk, creatives, and evil doers. Also, why does Bluesky allow me to change the title of the pack but the graphic still says “horror writers”. Anyways, go celebrate these artists go.bsky.app/QBuj23L

Good morning, Bluesky friends. There are some fantastic specific writers and publishers in the #writingcommunity on this app. I’ve curated a list of a few here:

Said with fond best wishes: I like the vibe here. Can we not bring the X derangement here in how we post? Perhaps just slower, less reactive, less about scoring points, or reflexive wisecracking? (humor is great, posting your, or my, first thought... often is not)

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

Hey everyone - I've made a Talking Scared starter pack. This features everyone who has been on the show (that I can find over here) and some people that I just think are great.

Books are magic, always. But once or twice a year a book grabs me, shakes me, reminds me how special that magic is. Thanks for the reminder, @aijiang.bsky.social, thanks for the story!
