I also made place-based job choices (which felt revolutionary in academia) and never regretted it. I don’t know you personally, but in case you need to hear it, based on your nuanced thinking and rad communication skills, I have high confidence you will find what you are looking for!

After grad school, I was anxious to find the perfect forever job. Then it turned out no one does “forever jobs”, fit isn’t permanent, and my career has been an evolution as my interests evolved too. Times are wild and scary, but there are many interesting paths ahead. Good luck!

Is there any way - even with a different Congress and/or President, to force SCOTUS to explain all their rulings? Can’t get my head around their reliance on blank hall passes.

My mother noticed, when she was a visible cancer patient, that people would approach to tell her all the things they do to not get cancer themselves. They ate vegetarian, they used sunscreen and antioxidants. It was a remarkable thing to say to someone… with cancer. Happened constantly.
