forgive an extremely cornball sentiment, i've had generously 12 hours of sleep in the past 4 days and am obviously hormonal, but stumbling through caring for a newborn has already been such a lesson in the importance of deep tenderness, generosity and patience (and community, of course)

i kind of had a similar thing - loved reading magazines (spent like an insane amount of money on them) and the alt weeklies as a teen, loved music and reading about it forever, never occurred to me that i could write about it til halfway through college

what does he need? just for me to have the confidence and strength give more of myself than i ever have, and that's the attitude i also just want to bring in the world in general - to trying to make a better one for him, even
