So day one, President Trump has signed an order making it easier for the private prison industry to capitalize on taxpayers. Rest assured the plan is for them to come to Arkansas.

Still no contact from the governor's office. Vanir and the D.O.C. held a kick-off party today. When reminded they agreed to be transparent, Thomas Burns, inside counsel for the BOC, said "While we do, (want to be transparent), this isn't a public meeting today". In a government building.

Something doesn't add up. The site selection for the proposed prison continues to baffle me. We know the growth is following I-49. Why would they not logically consider that area for this? There is literally nothing ideal about Mill Creek Mountain for this prison. #FranklinCountyStrong
