Less and less people buy print copies of books for lots of reasons, meaning I have less funds to get to conventions to try and connect and promote and the cycle goes on. I am not the only artist in this situation either! We haven't lost yet but it's getting dire.

When I say this, it isn't that folks aren't supporting me-- in fact, my digital sales were at an all time high before the Itchio ban-- it's that folks are losing their ways to support me. Digital sales are my lifeblood and paypros and governments are taking those all away.
Going home with lots of motivation that is being hit with fear and I wish this wasn't the case for the last few cons because that motivation can be so powerful but god I just can't make money off of releases like I used to. I feel so stuck!

There are still people at conventions telling me, "They won't ban porn!" but these ID verification laws already have. Because there is no federal, safe and secure way to make those verifications happen; we will simply see site shut down or ban porn all together. You have to be realistic.
