slugcats fit well into the list of sapient fantasy creatures
and honestly looking at the roster, slugcats actually fit quite well into the list of sapient fantasy species??? like, they have their own lil niche of having the kobolds' silliness and humans' creativity/tinkeriness kind of like dwarves to halflings as kobolds to scugs similar enough that you could make lots of connections, but each having different traits that overall make them occupy different niches
