What is Obstetric Medicine?
A sub-specialty of internal medicine specializing in the prevention, diagnosis & treatment of medical disorders in pregnant women. Includes chronic medical conditions during pregnancy (eg. renal & heart dis) & problems developing in pregnancy (eg. diabetes, HTN)

NASOM: promoting & supporting research collaboration, communication & teaching re medical care of those pregnant.
