Venmo’s asking for the last four digits of the phone number for that account… did you put that in thread somewhere and I missed it?

He’s the Minority Leader — if those other Senators are bypassing him, he’s ineffective and should be removed. If not, then he’s lying to our faces and should be removed.

The obviously correct response — if he didn’t want this to pass, it wouldn’t

The blame was certainly gotten, yes. How that happened, who can say? Probably just a natural cause and effect, not a multi-pronged propaganda effort.

It played Telluride too, so just a Canadian premiere
September 9, 2025 at 6:28 PM
Also loved this in Telluride — that centerpiece dance/play sequence is such a knockout. Given how stellar Ahmed is, really impressive how well some of the supporting performances manage to keep up with him

Two recs from Telluride that it sounds like you didn’t get to: Aniel Karia’s Hamlet is such a fun, creative adaptation with a truly terrific performance from Riz Ahmed; Cherien Dabis’ All That’s Left of You is a politically relevant, surprisingly epic tearjerker that really worked our audience over
September 5, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Seconded! Ahmed is great and the film is legit one of the best and most original Shakespeare adaptations I’ve ever seen. The centerpiece dance/play is an absolute showstopper

Though this adds an odd lack of designation for Orwell: 2+2=5, which should be listed as a US Premiere if TIFF’s status is correct

I think this might resolve some of your questions about those odd handful of NYFF designations: deadline.com/2025/08/2025...
