I sometimes record my daily life for postcrossing members.
I am Japanese and my English is poor.
I also bought this stamp.
It's a stamp commemorating the Tokyo Olympics torch relay. It had a slight wrinkle, making it unsuitable for collecting, so it was a bit cheaper. It should be fine for use in Postcrossing.

I bought these at the stamp shop inside the Stamp Museum.
These stamps are my favorites. They're a bit pricey, but I buy them whenever I find them.
People who own black cats really love it when I send them postcards with these stamps.

Today I went to the Stamp Museum in Tokyo. They have a Christmas exhibition going on.
They had a special postmark available only today, so I had mine stamped. It's the same design as the stamp released the other day. They were also selling postcards designed by the stamp's artist.

Postcards sent from Japan probably won't arrive in time for Christmas. I bought many Christmas-themed postcards this year, but only sent a few. It's very disappointing, but I'll send them next year.
I'd be happy if I could send New Year's cards for a while from now on.

The stamps released the other day and its first-day postmark.
This stamps is part of a series themed around picture books.
This time, it features the popular picture book "The Bread Thief."

It was announced that F1 will not be streamed on DAZN next year.
I watch F1 on DAZN, so this is very troubling for me.
Should I subscribe to another service just for F1 without Yuki? It's much more expensive than DAZN.

Tokyo Station.
This is the Marunouchi Station Building on the west side.
It's retro and truly beautiful.

I just found out there's a Dragon Ball Store in Tokyo Station's Character Street.
They didn't sell postcards.😢

Yuki Tsunoda has lost his seat. I hope he'll do his best as a reserve driver from now on. Never lose hope. I'll keep supporting him.

I went to the Imperial Palace's autumn public opening. You can walk through part of the Imperial Palace grounds from Sakashita Gate to Inui Gate.
This event is held for a short period in autumn and spring and is very popular.

I lined up before opening time at the famous Échiré butter shop to buy pastries.
In Japan, there's a custom of giving gifts at year's end. Though it's not as popular now, I still send gifts to old friends every year. My personal touch is to send sweets that are as hard to get as possible.

I went to a place called Masashi in Tochigi and had some gyoza.
They come in two types: yaki (grilled) and sui (boiled).
Like I mentioned before, this place only serves gyoza. No beer, no rice.

McDonald's winter staple is the "Gurakoro."
It's the nickname for the Gratin Croquette Burger.
When Japanese people eat this, they feel like winter has truly arrived.
I had one today. This means winter officially starts tomorrow!

The ChiiKawa x Coco's collaboration has finally reached its final week.
This time, the prize is a small doll.
I wanted to collect all the types, so I traded with another customer.
Actually, I had eaten a lot of sushi for lunch and was full, so I didn't really enjoy the meal.
November 28, 2025 at 2:57 AM
Today for lunch, I went to a sushi restaurant called Choshi-maru. It's a bit more upscale than the cheap sushi place I usually go to. This week, they're offering medium fatty tuna at half price on weekdays. I didn't miss this chance.

This year's Chiikawa Christmas plushies are these. Chiikawa and Hachiware are dressed as chickens. Usagi is "the leftover stollen."
Only Chiikawa could pull off such an outrageous design.

Today was a beautiful, clear day.
Mount Fuji looked stunning.
Today I went to Fujinomiya City and ate their famous yakisoba.

Today, Ukrainian sumo wrestler Aonishiki won the Grand Sumo Tournament championship. He fled to Japan to escape the war. His name incorporates the blue (ao) from his homeland's flag. We extend our congratulations to all the people of Ukraine.🇺🇦

The newly released stamps and their first-day postmarks.
These stamps feature a fun "Winter Fun" theme. I want to use them on Christmas cards.

I'm back here again. Tokyo Skytree.
I came for new Chiikawa merchandise, but they were selling Detective Conan items on another floor. Of course, I bought postcards.
November 21, 2025 at 7:05 AM
I bought a Back to the Future musical postcard. It's a bit pricey and feels too nice to use, but it's really cool.
November 20, 2025 at 7:21 AM
Is it weird that Japanese actors are playing Marty and Doc? I think it is. But I'm sure once I see the stage show, I won't feel that way anymore.
I've never seen a musical before, so I'm hesitating to go. I need to buy tickets soon—there's not much time left.
November 19, 2025 at 8:09 AM
Japan's renowned "Shiki Theatre Company" is performing a Back to the Future musical.
The café adjacent to the theater offers a Back to the Future collaboration menu.
I wasn't very hungry, so I went with a hot dog, but next time I want to try the Clock Tower Pancakes.
November 19, 2025 at 6:40 AM
I went to Maihama and bought Disney Resort postcards. They're very cute again this year.
I buy Disney postcards not to collect them, but to use them. My dream is to someday send all the Disney postcards I own around the world. But I buy more than I send, so it's not working out very well.

At Hanyu Hanyu, I met so many characters. This is just a small part of them.
In Japan, a culture of personifying and loving objects is deeply rooted. I believe this stems from the Shinto spirit that "everything is imbued with the divine."
Shinto is Japan's indigenous faith, alongside Buddhism.
