It feels petulant to be unable to enjoy things on their own terms and constantly feel the need to compare it to The Best Possible Thing.
I don't think I'm ever going to love a movie as much as I love Phantom of the Paradise or Koyaanisqatsi. That doesn't mean I hate all films that aren't as good.

I don't think I'm ever going to love a movie as much as I love Phantom of the Paradise or Koyaanisqatsi. That doesn't mean I hate all films that aren't as good.

1. The example you provide has plenty of examples of bad writing within it.
2. The example you provide is so unique and exemplary that it's the exception not the norm. In other words, using a A+ report to say a B+ report is more like a D- report.
