I'm a Canadian artist living in Toronto. Initially I painted landscapes but the pandemic changed me and now I paint everything, except abstract, but it's still early.
Oils, watercolours, textiles

If you want there to be a certain kind of art in ten years, you gotta pay for that art now. You gotta make sure small time artists can survive the next ten years. If you can't afford to, then tell people about the art and artists you love. Gush about them. Help others find them.

I’m creeping along painting so slowly and carefully, trying not to screw this up. Today I worked on the hydro poles and the rocks. Didn’t want to risk painting the wires. Next time.

I think there's a business case for a service that re-dyes faded black clothing. Charge by the pound, boil them with new black dye, rinse, dry, return. I'd pay.

The utter incompetence of Ford just makes me cry. Everything he touches turns to shit.

It's either made worse by active interference or through deliberate neglect.

"The Ford government is ignoring this file" vs. "The Ford government is engaged with this file." It's "Oh FUCK!" either way.

The province created the program, municipalities followed the program, spent the $$$ and signed contracts and the province yanked the program.

It's mind-blowing waste and mismanagement of our public finances by the Ford government.

I've been hoping for a second season of Dreaming Whilst Black. Now that it's out, I have to keep waiting till CBC Gem picks it up. Time to re-watch Season 1 I guess.

Dreaming Whilst Black series two review – we’re already desperate for series three
Yet again, Adjani Salmon’s masterly comedy is packed with hilarious moments that nail the hell of working in TV and the reality of Black British life. Its finale is superb – and leaves you begging for...

Mornings are colder and darker now but shopping at the St. Lawrence Market has become a habit. Snuggling down in bed is not an option. Mama needs groceries! The maple items will last me well into next year.

Donald Trump has turned America into a mafia klepto-state.
The Nazis were also shameless crooks and criminals. Herman Goring would have been right at home in Mar-a-Lago.
Here is my latest on gangster fascism and America's number one crime family - the Trumps.

Adult up!
Exposing the Epstein Network is not going to be politically convenient. If your interest in unravelling a child rape network is to only take down Trump, you aren't interested in justice. Sure it can take him down, but you must adult up; accept it'll take down some of your favourite politicians too.

Painting this was an indulgence. Colours like a handful of Smarties, swooping and drooping, a vase made up of shapes. It hangs in my home for now. A 5 yr old came to visit and declared it pretty. I'm feeling pretty pleased now.

It never fucking ends with this crook.

"MPP Chris Glover’s office has discovered they are seizing the land by using the 'Rebuilding Ontario Place Act' which gives the Premier power to override provincial and municipal laws."

Are we going to defend ANYTHING in this province?
