I did not work on my novel in December. Not one word. Didn’t even sit at my desk for the whole month. Used my desk chair for storage. It worked. I needed to start over. Same story, different doorway into it.

I’m with George.
A lot of folks are giving up in advance. Capitulating before a single skirmish.

Well, not this old warrior. I’ve seen much worse from the U.S. government in my day. I’m concerned for our country, but not a bit scared of these miscreants. I’m ready to do my part.

Exactly. We each control our own experience here. We’re given the tools.
1. I reiterate that I don't think bots/trolls get how comprehensive the "block" function here is.

2. I also think they don't quite get how prevalent "don't engage, just block" is as an ethos here.

3. Bluesky is a neighborhood party: everyone is welcome until they're a jerk. Then out they go.

I do wonder how a Secretary Hegseth will deal with declining enlistment if he thinks that women don’t belong and that black and brown Americans should not aspire to anything more than grunt work in the military.

I made the mistake of reading a few news articles and watching about ten minutes of a news broadcast.
Big mistake. I am now “unsettled.”
