Shot a pheasant this morning...

With a camera, not a shotgun I must add.

1 year ago today!

An incredibly lucky capture of the Northern Lights in England and a meteor from the Perseids Meteor Shower in the same photo.

Taken just outside of Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Had great fun shooting the Knaresborough Bed Race at the weekend.

It's such a fun event. There are loads of photos on their website: www.bedrace.co.uk

I threw together a quick post looking back at my astrophotography that I did in 2024.

2024 will go down as one of the best years for astro IMO.

I'm hoping there will be some shock off-season F1 drama where Sainz ends up getting a seat at Mercedes or Red Bull.

This tree at Studley in North Yorkshire is so cool but I cannot for the life of me find a composition of it that works.

I've been thinking a lot about Iceland recently. It's such a beautiful country and I've got so much more of it to explore and photograph. I need to get back soon!

Like many of you we've dreamed of visiting this planespotters paradise, as well as the fabled Mach Loop in Wales. UK-based photographer Andrew Hawkes recently visited the former and has written up an excellent series of tips for what to do when we finally get to either of these spots. | 🛩️ ⚔️ 📍 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Some highlights from my photography in October.

We were treated to yet another bonkers display of the Northern Lights visible from North Yorkshire.

I didn't get the shot I was hoping for of Comet C/2023 A3 - Tsuchinshan-ATLAS but it was great to capture a comet again!
