He’s an American Hitler. He already has his Gestapo and concentration camps. If anyone thinks he won’t eventually push for death camps, they haven’t been paying attention to what he says. And Republicans go along with this and cheer. They are the American equivalent of the German Nazis.

Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

I’ll be honest. I have a sick feeling in my stomach about this. About ICE’s new budget. About the citizenship database. I just have a really sick feeling. The only way we survive this is together. We need to work together. In ways we never have before. Collective action is the way.

Not sure who is behind this video (could just be dude on camera) but it is extremely effective and this kind of thing will first make the rounds on social but then show up, or be imitated in, election-season ads.
Spot on. This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen. It ‘s relatable, and humanizes the issue in a way everyone can understand.

Again, I’d like to encourage the people who think it’s a good idea to embrace a cruel and capricious dictatorship, while making it clear no legal or legislative authority can stop them from ruining ordinary people’s lives, to keep on reading to see what usually happens next.

Do they really think they can scare us with the word “socialist” when they are literally sending out men in masks with no warrants and no badges to disappear people off American streets?

I know what I’m scared of, and it’s not a socialist.

Goodbye, Constitution, and hello, Sharia! Hipster beards, however, can stay. @qasimrashid.com and I unpack the establishment's vicious anti-Muslim smearing and fear-mongering against Zohran Mamdani.

It's about goddamned time the Dems stop running away from the socialist labeling.

Either socialism is bad, or it's not.

Embrace it. Show how it works in functioning societies, and fight back! Now!

Oh, horrors! You mean a political system that aims to reduce economic inequality & to create a democratic and egalitarian society?
How would we ever bear it?

Transit and free healthcare does not make you socialist.

And it doesn't make you European. You would still be a long ways off from being as great.

You would also need:

-5 weeks paid vacation
-Paid maternity/paternity leave
-Free university
-4 day work week
-$15 minimum wage
-Etc

They honestly have reached a point of political inbreeding where the only policy they have to offer is more tax cuts for the rich, and deporting people their base feels uncomfortable around. Any sense of making America more livable is alien to them at this point.

I love how the right is trying to scare us by saying the United States is turning into one of those European countries with great mass transit and free healthcare.
