And it's finally here, the full-length album - 'Rooms & Departures' There's a lot I can say about this album. Exponentially less that I can say without feeling self-indulgent. But maybe that's okay. If there's a theme that runs throughout, that theme is change, and the growth that follows. On a macro-level, the sheer length of time it took to put this together forces that theme. Some of these songs date back to 2013, some as recent as the last year and a half, and the rest dot the landscape of the intervening decade. On a micro-level, every one of these songs is a reflection. Leaving home for the first time, burying friends too young, interpersonal relationships of various kinds changing or collapsing - massive, uncontrollable shifts of one sort or another within my life. These pieces are direct reactions, my way of processing, of reaching understanding and acceptance. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I have enjoyed the act of creation
