I'll be asking Black people what this means specifically within Black culture.

This is going to tie into larger themes of who's allowed to be publicly mentally ill in America, how Black people (and POC in general) are treated when they fight the system, and how the Left has steadily moved away from its values of empathy and rehabilitation.
