Enjoyed Geoff Emerick's Beatles memoir (mainly for the surprisingly frequent digs at George Harrison & all the "and then the whole bus clapped" anecdotes). Gonna get All You Need is Ears & @spinal-bap.bsky.social's McCartney one next.

I like this one: throws in "eightteen 😄" as a kind of "way ahead of you buddy!! 😂 😉" then immediately includes eighty in a list of numbers from 1 to fifty 👍👌

When I was about 13 we played a cover of Fairies Wear Boots at our secondary school concert, except we didn't know about delay pedals & so tried to do the opening bit with two guitars playing the same riff seconds apart 🙃 #ozzy #blacksabbath

Been looking at modular synth stuff this week & it's a rather beautiful microcosm. 1000s of videos, all of them featuring very happy, middle-aged men with £100000s worth of equipment making the most horrible sounds you've ever heard. Glorious stuff.

I feel like we need more feel-good stories like this if we're ever to heal as a nation 🫂❤️
Nearly a year after Britain’s seismic general election, former MPs booted out by the electorate are feeling abandoned.

The pain is particularly acute for the waves of defeated Conservative parliamentarians.
Britain’s defeated Tory MPs struggle to adjust to civilian life
Support for fallen politicians is patchy and inconsistent, which could deter would-be legislators from entering the political arena.
