Several orgs, including SF Transit Riders, SF Bicycle Coalition, Walk SF, Kids Safe SF, have come out against the mayor's announcement to allow Waymo to operate on Market Street.
Just In: Mayor Daniel Lurie is allowing Waymo to map out Market Street, eventually allowing Waymo's autonomous vehicles to operate on the corridor as soon as this summer. It's part of the mayor's plans to revitalize the downtown area.

When Amazon brings you whatever your little heart desires in a box to your door, there is much less of an incentive to go up to the 8th floor of Nordstrom. Yes we need to tackle safety but it is a symptom, not a cause. We should have acted 10 years ago.
