Caught Ringu (1998) at JICC. First time I’ve watched, pleasantly surprised with how different it was from the American remake I watched in middle school. I really became engrossed seeing how the mystery unfolded. Love me some spooky movies and this one didn’t disappoint.

Just saw Kiss of the Spider Woman. Having never seen or been exposed to this media I realize I crossed some wires and assumed the plot would be somehow related to Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark that I watched a Wait in the Wings video essay about a few years back. Boy was I surprised when… 1/4

Shrimp rolls with roasted parmesan asparagus tonight. Was supposed to be the last meal of summer but got sidetracked last week. Bone apple teeth!

Wife made 肉松面包 (Pork Floss Bread). Toasted with a little bit of salted butter absolutely made my morning.

Brunch at Cordelia Fishbar near Union Market in DC. The restaurant week menu makes is a hell of a deal, and it tasted great to boot. Will definitely come back to check out other options on the menu.

Visited the King Arthur Baking company pop up in Bethesda. Lots of cool gadgets and ingredients, and it’s priced reasonably as well. It will be here till January so I’ll be coming back for more flour and maybe a few extra gizmos if the budget allows.
