From 1996-2009, numerous medical experts, school counselors, and trained therapists told a struggling child that she was “exaggerating” her autistic meltdowns and that masking was a wondrous miracle cure that would fix all her problems.

The most impressive part of the Joe Camel ad campaign was that it made a bunch of middle schoolers wish they were a 40-something-year-old man. Look at those crow’s feet! Dude celebrates his birthday every month to distract from his real age, too. I bet he flips out every time he finds a grey hair.

It’s not just generators over paid copywriters and artists. It’s also self scan machines over cashiers and call centers with extensive touch tone menus instead of human representatives.

People like PLAYING with AI for fun, but as soon as you try to SELL them a product made by it, everyone gets mad, and I think that says a lot about the value of human creativity.
(Should be obvious but I don’t use AI in my books or art.)

Can we PLEASE make it Bluesky courtesy to properly tag your political posts so that people can block them? The amount of times I’ve ran into content I don’t want to see cuz a blocked word was hidden in a picture, or because someone dodged the filter with something like “Tramp And Mask” is insane!

The characters in one of my WIP books have particularly atrocious names. This guy is Ash Trae. His friends are Lucky, Piper, Winston, and Smoky. Har har har di har. Bad idea, probably! But the names are permanent fixtures in my brain, so they’re staying.

A local toy store had old POP displays next to their dumpster. For those who don’t run a small business, cardboard displays like this are expensive as hell! It’s cheaper (and better for the environment!) to recycle old ones. My books look as snug as a bug in a rug. I just need to redecorate it…
