Today at the Univ. of Iowa's Musicology/Music Theory Colloquium, I will be speaking on Ada Crogman Franklin's Milestones of a Race, an African American history pageant presented at least 25 times in 15 cities in the 1920s with music by Black composers and casts of as many as 500-600 people.
