American man Chester Criss was employed 6x throughout 1911-1913 by Utah Copper Co, first on September 18, 1911. He resided at 447 North 800 West in Salt Lake City (Fairpark neighborhood), was 39 yo, and had a wife. #ancestorOTD

Andrew Bertolin worked just 8 days (June 20-28, 1910) as a bankman in the Drill Operating department before quitting. An Italian man hailing from Saint-Marcel, north of Turin, he was 35 years old and spoke "good English".

Philip Cotohman was 40 yo when he began working at Utah Copper Co. on May 22, 1910. An Italian with "little English", he became a trackman in Tony's gang, earning US$2 per day. #ancestorOTD

On May 13, 1918, a Japanese man, Y. Ando, began work at Utah Copper Co. Having previously worked in Garland (UT) for Oregon Short Line Railway Co, Ando started as a trackman before leaving in the fall, on October 2, 1918. We're back to the mid-20th C today with this 1964 photo of Nevada Southern University's first graduating class! 🎓🎉 NSU became independent the following year, and became @unlv.edu in 1969!
