Maybe they’re cheaper enough to make that they don’t need the same sales numbers? For tactics they could probably run the graphics through an upscaler or something to give them a headstart

Oh I was thinking of the iOS remakes, not the Pixel Remasters. They phone remakes had a stretched look that kinda looked off to me

I’m not as big a fan of, say, the pixel remakes of the FF snes games. They lost something in translation there.

I thought octopath traveler was gorgeous, but it definitely was a different kind of sprite work than the olde stuff. I think it works as a low budget thing, I’d like to see more budget games.
