This has to be the worst code feature of any language I've encountered in YEARS. I want to bill them for a day's work.

I've been learning a couple of Billy Bragg songs on guitar this morning, and so loaded Workers Playtime onto my phone just to have a listen to them at the gym. Only then did I realise what t-shirt I had randomly selected today. I guess it's a Billy sort of day. #therevolutionisjustatshirtaway

As someone who advocates for killing the whole idea that the economy must grow each year, I've got some hardcover cognitive dissonance in this. The fact that Trump is all-in on growth makes it easy to still oppose him, but I don't hate that he's shrunk the economy.

Some lyrics I wrote for my songwriting group. The challenge was "The Future" and I started with a few very cynical lines, before deciding to go all-in with it. Just as an exercise -- not because it was how I really feel most days. But today seems like an appropriate day to post these.

This author was unknown to me until two weeks hence when I asked for purveyors of wit. I think I will be tearing through this one!

This astro photo attempt doesn't quite capture just how orange Mars was tonight, floating above the back garden.

I love that we live in a time when we can know why it's that colour -- it's iron oxide on the surface. Basically a big ball of rust.

I've shared enough of these shots on Facebook, time to share one here.

Had to run by #elycathedral on my way to pick up takeaway. Stopped for ninety seconds to capture this.

Nine different species hit the feeder at lunchtime yesterday -- great tit, blue tit, long tailed tit, robin, sparrow, collared dove, woodpigeon, jackdaw, and a first-ever chaffinch. Plus a jay on the ground (see pic).
