Thanksgiving isn't a thing in Germany, but Americans gonna American- "Friendsgiving" is very common in the US immigrant circles, including folks from all over. Getting to share something like this when everything else coming out of my home country is awful keeps me from slipping into despair.

Husband and I saved watching Murderbot Diaries on appleTV until we could binge it whilst knitting and go absolutely feral. 13/10 recommended- along with reading the books! Our sole complaint was that there wasn't ENOUGH of it, but season two was approved!

I am a planner. I research, make a plan, & make contingency plans. Today did not go to plan. I woke up at 0224 in a full blown anxiety attack. I struggled to finish my packing, to get dressed. I ended up behind schedule and still existing in that anxious space. I ended up blowing through 1/3

On Tuesdays Drew has Lego Robotics Club, so I sit in the community center and knit. Today an older lady said she'd noticed me knitting each week and invited me to join their Strickcafé- integration is going well.

Making Ikea into an "activity" over school holidays because I need new flatware and Drew loves their meatballs. He's currently playing with a half dozen other kids in the play area whilst I nibble my dessert. 10/10 recommended

I replaced my Pixel 6 with a Pixel 9 today and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the 'feel of it reminded me of... The iphone4. I think that was my last iphone, and honestly one of my all time favorites for form/fit/size. The Pixel 9 is like getting android on an iphone 4 & I'm stoked.

Remember- the harm, the fear, the cruelty are all the point. The reason they're CONSTANTLY trying to tie violence to the left is to 'justify' further expansion of the suppression of civil rights. Any excuse to enact true martial law and strip the last vestiges of our Democracy.
