Every time I watch Queensrÿche's "Silent Lucidity" music video I can't help but wonder what about it screamed "Best Video" material for the VMAs that year. Like who thought there was a chance this could be better than "Losing My Religion"?

I think a lot about how much of a fumble The Stone Roses ended up being and I wonder how much of a cautionary tale they are for music.
I'm not an enormous fan of the stone roses but this tune is one of our generations greats, whenever it comes on the radio I'm singing the bass part (in my head, with my teeth). The fella could play and he played with feeling

I think a lot about how much of a fumble The Stone Roses ended up being and I wonder how much of a cautionary tale they are for music.
For some reason I cannot hear Velouria correctly in my head. When I listen to it then think it, its two completely different songs and I cannot think of another song that happens this way.
