And yeah, I totally see your point on captaincy here. Ødegaard being a roamer means he gets to interact with and influence the tactics of pretty much every outfield player. He's sort of like the USB drive that delivers artetactics.pdf to the team system (hideous analogy but you get me).

Was nice to see our left side offer the most threat today, but we still shouldn't have struggled that much against Shakhtar. Now we have to worry about Calafiori too, so that's affected as well. On the right, Trossard and Sterling just aren't the same.

Yeah he's underrated off the ball for sure (been saying the same about Kai since we got him). I also think we'd grown a bit too dependent on our right hand side for goals and creativity, and MØ was key to that. Feel like Saka and co are worse off in his absence.
