Will MAGA Smith get her pipeline built through a lib mega project?
Mired in yet another major fight that will be aired in the courts I highly doubt she will get a major pipeline built. Perhaps a gas pipeline or LNG to Northern BC but not the kind she was dreaming of. Of course she will blame Carney

MAGA Smith says courts should be more constrained in making decisions.
Of course she was referring to her MAGA decision to use the NWC removing teachers’ rights.
This is 100% Donald Trump.
Like it or not Alberta this woman knows only authoritarian moves.

If you think Poilievre is finished- think again! In his first scrum with journalists it’s the same guy, same dusted off speech from the past election, same regurgitated nonsense.
But check the polls:
“Among Conservative voters in 2025, Poilievre’s net score is a towering +70,” David Coletto
November 13, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Poilievre finally shows up to media after a long silence. Same negativity, same tone, same whine. All he did was quote d’Outrement who crossed the floor to Liberals attempting to make a fool of him. When does this guy have some credible things to say to taxpayers? Outrageous we are paying his bills!

The bombshells on Trump and the Epstein files continue.
How does this monster continue running a “democracy” against so much damming evidence? Americans put him in power. How much longer will this go on?
November 12, 2025 at 4:54 PM
The notwithstanding tool is a handy thing to have if you’re an authoritarian
Like MAGA Smith.
Peter Lougheed under no circumstances whatsoever would have used this undemocratic legislation. I predict much social unrest in Alberta if the UCPs continue down this path. The courts need to intervene!
November 12, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Law prof Jared Wesley indicates other groups to be targeted by UCP if resolutions pass:
25sLGBTQ+ indigenous cultural communities. Non citizens requiring health treatment, immunocompromised people , patients in compromised care, at risk workers, unhoused people, pregnant people needing abortion care
November 12, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Bright eyed Jared Wesley- U of A law prof sees Bill 9 of UCP’s agenda to use NWC against trans folks.
The brazen UCP have unleashed their nuclear weapon to refrain from any dialogue and argument and once more ignore human rights.
It was just a matter of time. Democracy in Alberta is at risk !
November 12, 2025 at 4:43 AM
Teachers and unions were first (Bill 2).

Trans Albertans are next (Bill 9).

The UCP's 2025 AGM Resolutions reveal a much longer list of folks whose rights are at risk from the party's use of the notwithstanding clause.
November 12, 2025 at 4:37 AM
When will Conservatives come back down to earth and look in the mirror?
Chris d’Entremont was seen as their problem crossing the floor. Then Scheer amplified things saying he would fit in nicely with the lying liberals. Now the whip Werkentin is downplaying any troubling signs at all.
Where is PP?

UCP planning to increase speed limit on some highways to 120MPH

Highway 2 in particular vehicles are already driving 10 KMS over the speed limit. Some large trucks have a built in limit to their speed which will automatically prohibit this.

Another “brilliant idea” with no research

My granny never got over the First World War. She lost so many relatives, neighbours, school mates. She shared stories of the trenches to me and my sister.
I write about her, Canada's "100 Days" and the staggering price we paid to end the First World War.

Another resolution would prohibit a person’s vaccination history from being used as a condition of employment in any provincially funded or governed institution. The resolution also calls for a “pause” on the use of mRNA vaccines until safety is verified.”
Where on earth is this group going?
November 11, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Beyond comprehension upcoming UCP convention resolutions? Nov 28-30 should be cause for much uproar in Edmonton if the UCP get their way. Buying the Edm K division of the RCMP, removing fluoride from municipal waters, having any temporary residents pay for health services, restricting flags and more

A former chief medical officer of health for Alberta says the provincial government should be embarrassed by the role Alberta has played in Canada’s measles outbreaks and loss of the country's measles elimination status

Alberta's role in Canada's loss of measles elimination status embarrassing, former chief medical officer says | CBC News
The latest federal data shows Alberta accounts for 38 per cent of Canada’s cases.

CBC: “Some of the country’s most prominent white supremacist groups gathered in Vancouver this summer for a secretive neo-Nazi conference”
It saddens me to know that Poilievre has demonstrated a special liking to some in this group. It is also troubling
that MAGA Smith hangs out with some of these.
November 11, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Dr James Talbot- past official with AHS weighs in on measles issue.
Outrageous that the UCP is responsible for 40% of the measles cases in this country and they have no shame on this.
Where is the opposition? Time to reflect. The UCP can’t get much lower in the polls but they are set to repeat!
November 11, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Thanks to MAGA Smith and a few others Canada has lost its measles elimination status. A UCP government campaigned on a deep suspicion of vaccines and particularly the Covid virus. There are over 5,000 cases of measles in Canada. In Alberta adults now have to pay for the Covid vaccine.
Insane

Is the Canadian MAGA empire crumbling? Reference to a frat house was not news to me when the Con party was so described today. Scott Moe has a review coming up soon and likewise MAGA Smith. Will the tide ever turn in these Con provinces?
Canadians deserve a HOC that functions and nothing less.
November 9, 2025 at 11:56 PM
No matter how the Cons spin it, Poilievre is still the fowl mouth leader who knows only hate and a demeaning attitude.
The party is full of Poilievres. Take a look at the deputy who conducts an interview like it’s a medieval joust. The party is all about Poilievre who has been turning us into MAGA

Unbridled capitalism is today’s disease in wealthy America and Canada. When can Canada obtain a Bernie Saunders to call out the food store giant capitalists that continue to hike prices? Alberta is selling its hospital infrastructure to private for profit health entities. MAGA Smith must go!
November 9, 2025 at 6:14 PM
We are a social democracy. Tommy Douglas fought for a social system of health care. We are at a point of privatizing our health care system- particularly in MAGA Alberta. Canada cannot go down the American path.
Too often in Alberta you see signs saying socialism is a disease. Anything but.
November 9, 2025 at 5:38 PM
For years I have paid into health care and pension plans. The value of this cannot be underestimated. When you see the long line ups in the US of people needing food handouts it makes you think. In Alberta our premier is planning to privatize health care and take our pensions.
Canada is not MAGA
November 9, 2025 at 5:33 PM
MAGA Smith comes back from another holiday in Saudi to say Premier Lougheed would have used the NWC. How on earth could she reach this conclusion? Her popularity continues downward but her stupidity is reaching to the skies.
Suddenly when faced with court action she puts resources into the schools.
November 9, 2025 at 1:21 AM
The appeal to convoy types.
Look no further if you are following the demise of Poilievre and his Cons.
Imagine the majority of Canadians voting for a leader who has strong ties to a gang of thugs wanting to take down our gov.
Poilievre is finished. His party might to take a close look at this.
