Governor Scott low key tries to do the same thing Trump does. He just doesn’t do it loudly and has mostly been stopped by the legislature. People vote for him because he was one of the few republicans who spoke out against Trump, and he took Covid seriously for a while. That’s literally it.

Vermonters are actually worried about him mentoring leaders to represent VT. We have a truly terrible Republican governor who we can’t trust to appoint a helpful replacement if Bernie needed to step down.

He just ran for VP. He stepped into a leadership role for the entire country. He can do his job and show leadership for the country more broadly.
