The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

Democratic politicians need to stop accepting Trump’s white nationalist premise that immigration is bad and proudly and loudly make a positive case for why America’s identity and history as a nation of immigrants is so important.

Incredible.
As usual these people are showing they stand for nothing and for no one but themselves.

The absence of any principles or moral compass is glaring.
Pete Hegseth says he’s going to court-martial me for saying the same exact thing he said 9 years ago. What changed for Pete? Well to start, he spends all day thinking about how he can suck up to Trump. When Trump says jump, he says how high.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?

TIL 電 is kanji for "electric."

I thought "Wow, so cool that the word resembles a plug in an electrical outlet"

But after some googling, it turns out this character pre-dates electricity and originally meant "lightning"...

So the fact that it resembles a plug is a total coincidence!

And while this is more helpful than cute?

電 is "electric." and it's really distinctive-looking.

So even if you don't recognize a word, it's a great clue.

電話 (electric story) is phone.
電車 (electric car) is train.
電池 (electric pond!) is battery!

I have come to the idea that we have to collectively, brutally, ritualistically kill Target just to show capital that we truly aren’t fucking around.

If this is true, fuck everybody who needs to feel “normal” and can’t just live their own life and be happy to let others live theirs.
This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥

And this is so obnoxious because actual-politics is kind of a fucking layup right now.

Your opponents are running a historically corrupt government.

Be anti-corruption. Run on fixing the shit they broke, holding assholes accountable, and improving people’s lives.

Duh.

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Today, other people who are trying to follow the greencard process, are being arrested at their immigration interviews - literally the moment when they hope to be granted their greencards.

After all the fees and forms and tests they fucking arrested them. 😵‍💫🤬

😭
Not sure why but this has me cracking up 🫠
Q: Just days ago you referred to Trump as a 'despot.' Will you retract?

Genuinely crazy-making that people keep on insisting she's a great writer...
We've all read some of those excerpts from the book, and they are terrible. Really, laughably, bad... unintentional literary camp.
this insistence that she is some preternatural journalistic talent is going to drive me insane
