Since LabLib are both ideologically aligned to neoliberalism and corporate oligarchs they correctly view the Greens as ideological enemies. I honestly think it’s only a matter of time until Labor starts preferencing Libs ahead of the Greens, maybe then their so called left voters might wake the f up

Most of the “moderates” have been joining the ALP for years which is why the ALP is dominated by right wing neoliberalism and the LNP are dominated by far right reactionaries.

Basically all the younger moderates conservatives are joining Labor and dragging that party right, while the LNP only has the hard right. Nothing good is going to happen and everything will get worse.

The LNP are honest that they don’t give a shit about climate destruction, meanwhile under the ALP they pretend to care while approving gas mines that will emit billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide over their lifetime. Greens and independents are the only ones in Parliament who actually are genuine.

It was because republicans were going to nuke the filibuster and the centrist institutional Dems wanted to keep it, so they voted for the republicans side. They prefer to keep the ability to stop progressive legislation from passing over fighting to stop millions losing healthcare. Disgusting.

They absolutely are centrists though. They surrendered in order to keep the filibuster in place instead of allowing republicans to nuke it. They preferred to keep the filibuster so they can stop progressive pro-worker legislation by sacrificing healthcare. Not a single progressive voted for it.

Don’t back down on this - it absolutely is centrist democrats. They are more interested in keeping the filibuster in place to stop progressive anti corporate legislation than they care about stopping healthcare premiums increase 3 times. Wonder why no centrists up for election in 2026 voted for it!

No offence, but this is the end goal of centrism. To enable corporate powers that run the country to do what they want. Republicans were going to nuke the filibuster, centrists need it to stop progressive anti corporate legislation, so they rolled, the filibuster remains, and we all of course lose.
