If you don't want to risk it you can always work on your page for a while and then actually publish it even if it isn't finished: once you post it you can easily edit it from the menu.

Tbh I didn't have to do this, but if this makes you feel safer it's the best option. Also, dw I'm happy to help ^^

I created an account only at the end when I had to post the site.

If you close the tab and open it again it usually asks you if you want to continue from where you left and it will reload your last changes.

Tho, sometimes it had happened it didn't save them and I had to start all over again -.-

There are some templates you can use, that's how I started: you choose one and then keep/delete/personalise whatever you want.

It felt a bit overwhelming for me at first but it is actually pretty intuitive and simple, just mess around with the buttons ^^
