Some Essendon players position takes.
Alwyn Davey jnr isn’t a small forward he is either a half back or wing. Just because he is the best pressure player at the club doesn’t mean he is natural fwd.
Durham is an amazing 35-45% cb mid but his primary role should be on the wing.
Jones is a chf.

Simple solution, 23 rounds, 18 teams, everyone plays each other once, the league divides the 18 clubs into groups of 6 and alternates the groups of 6 over 3 years so you have a unique group each time.
