So let me get this straight - the Kremlin were paying everyone in that crowd to parrot their propaganda except the one face who was co stanly on BBC TV shows and was the only one who anyone outside the party itself had ever heard of, but it’s ok because he parroted the same propaganda for free?
Three more British MEPs in Nigel Farage’s bloc now alleged to have “followed the script” given to Nathan Gill by an alleged Russian asset, according to prosecutors.

At least eight UKIP and Brexit Party MPs were focus of efforts by Nathan Gill

Watching The Debut: Dream Academy. All elimination based reality TV shows include an element of cruelty but this show seems to desperately hate the contestants (who are, in case you didn’t know) kids, and wants to leave them with serious emotional problems.

Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

So let’s add McCarthyism to Reaganist treacherous collusion with hostile foreign regimes, Nixonian corruption, military misadventures in South America and Jim Crow racism. America is cramming a greatest hits of the worst parts of its own history into one 4 year nightmare.

A reminder: no one should have to “earn” the right to live and move freely. Human rights do not depend on how much (or little!) someone contributes to the country.

The Labour Party is literally in government right now. They have a clear majority and could legislate to ensure trans folks are treated according to their gender, and ensure equality law does not fix people to their sex assigned at birth. They actively choose not to — it’s institutional transphobia.

Ah. Many of us were wondering what the deal was here.

The mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew was reportedly engaged in a nasty years-long custody battle with the White House press secretary’s brother before she was detained by ICE last month.

It's not a coincidence that Twitter made both Rowling and Dawkins way, way worse than they'd ever been.

They're bellweathers for the fact that Britain's already small and incestuous establishment was Too Online--and we know it's a major radicalisation vector for transphobia.
a lot of it genuinely comes down to the fact that almost all their elites were too online on X and the post-Musk thing has basically driven the socially conservative, fiscally socialist types insane (see e.g. the Blue Labour guy) and the right is basically now calling for ethnic purges
The UK is weird and getting weirder right? Thats not my imagination? I know that's rich coming from an American, but still, I'm right on this arent I?

If only someone had warned military officers about the obligation to refuse unlawful orders…
Officials in Congress and the Pentagon are increasingly concerned that the Trump administration intends to scapegoat the military officer who directed U.S. forces to kill two survivors of a targeted strike on suspected drug smugglers in Latin America.

As Congress vows accountability, the Trump administration emphasized it was a top military commander — not the defense secretary — who directed the engagement.

If only he’d thought of this 3 years ago, he might not have had to orchestrate the slaughter of 70,000 innocent people, the systematic murder of aid workers and journalists and the displacement of a population of 2 million, just to save his miserable, corrupt neck. Ah well.

Central to the 2010s Legitimate Concerns discourse that paved the way for our current pre-fascist moment was the refusal to acknowledge that these "concerns" were based on demonstrable fictions, filtered through socially constructed prejudices. I.e. they were not, in fact, "legitimate".
