Also I would read the pattern thoroughly and make notes about steps and any changes I want to make before starting.

In addition I wish I used a higher quality canvas. I used decor canvas which frays a lot and there is some obvious seem stress that showed up when stuffing.
There are also some changes I would make when sewing the form.

My overall final thoughts. Doing this saves me money so even though I have to fiddle with inner stuffing and add outside padding it's better than me guessing without a physical form to work with.

Used almost two 5 lb. Boxes of polly-fill stuffing. My thoughts on the final shape....The rear is not big enough, the stomach is too big, the chest is too low. But I can take some stuffing out and pad the areas that need it. Would definitely do this again.

Starting to see a peek of what the finished frame will look like. I will probably spend every night next week touching up the edges and leaving it out overnight to dry. Then finish it with a satin or matt clear coat.
