i feel the same until i remember that i'm often perturbed by how much smarter i am than some people and, my friend, i am not that smart. 🙃 i'm not sure i could handle actual intelligence. plus what is there to gain, really? you want to be surrounded by MORE idiots?

i have had some damn spicy jalapenos before. they are kind of the russian roulette of peppers.

i prefer paper books, too. but i don't hate the kindle. it is nice to not have to worry about the lighting situation. plus it is easy to slip in a bag. and it is FAR superior to trying to read a book on a computer. i don't think you'll regret it.

i have an old refurbished kindle that i use. do i love it? no. do i find its library functionality to be easy to use? also no. do i ever go back to my infrequently purchased ebooks? surprise, its a no.
still, i am glad i have one. it is portable and makes it easy to borrow ebooks from the library.
