Alma Dal Co was an incredible scientist and a wonderful person who left us far too soon.
Last Friday, Sven Bergmann and the Alma Dal Co foundation organized a very special 2nd Memorial Symposium. It was mind-blowing to see how Alma‘s ideas continue to be a huge influence on all of us who knew her.

I might just be a tiny bit proud of Verena Lentsch getting an ETH medal for her doctorate from the Mucosal Immunology lab 🧪🧫

Brilliant work Verena! Much deserved. One to watch!

Two books recommendations I was to pass on. I don‘t normally go for pop-science but these really crystallized for me how conflicts arise not because most people are selfish and awful, but because we fail to understand each other and are easily manipulated. And that gives me hope (and work to do)

A strangely warm merry Christmas from Switzerland 😮 (or I have accidentally slept for 5 months and it is actually April… it has been quite a tiring year)

Great fun giving a seminar for the very active VMB @ETH_BSSE in their fancy new building. Thank you to Johanna Haffner for the incredible organizing and all the PhD/Postdocs (+ @randall_platt & Andreas Moor and Knut Drescher) for the science!

Is this bioengineering art?
