I WAS going 2take 857 with me on scooter trip but space is premium. given I dont want 2 spend money on a battery I built this bodge job from some chunky LiFePO4 cells I was gifted 4s2c 50Ah. great for Ops here but far to chunky 2take away 4the 857. so it's going 2b a camera & no radio sort of trip!

probably VAT rather than duty... what was it's declared value and what was the charge?

I use same for my 10m vertical... but also used it for 20&40m dipole support by ramming a bit of tree down it...

planning a summer trip on my own on my Vespa. Guernsey-Portsmouth (ferry), Portsmouth-Bilbao (ferry), Bilbao-Andorra across N/Spain, then up to St. Malo & ferry back to Guernsey. Nice & slow, 2 weeks to do it - do i take the 857 & a wire - do i try & add 2m/70cm to the scoot for the ride?
