Ugh. We are having a problems with a roommate that no longer respects understandings about what is theirs in the refrigerator and otherwise acts like they live alone.
That roommate is my dad. He is 76, not 26. He has some worsening dementia. He behaves a lot like a 7 year old.

Doesn't look like cancer is what's going to kill me. I'm still very much going to die, but not from that specifically. I've got worse things going on.

You might be trying to get enough strength back to do some things this year. You might be having a a hell of a time with that and the cold outside.
Adjacent to that, there might be a thing in the evenings during the week where you can come see me talk about fruit, preservation and other things.

So, my last visit to the family ruined me, sort of. I spent a couple of days there sleeping under my hoodie then stay warm during the night and I spent the whole time with my shoulder bag right next to me with everything I was using to make my life bearable in it.

So, yesterday I had the first in a series of eye surgeries to restore my vision. I've been some definition of blind since May.
