Last night I checked out Sedos production of Dreamgirls!

Their production was every bit as satisfying as Effie’s final Act 1 note!

This week I attended The Constant Cold as part of GrimFest.

In the horror genre tension build up is key and this show seemed to lack this however it was a really interesting premise and one that I would love to see developed over a longer one act play.

The Chaos That Has Been And Will No Doubt Return at swkplay is an inspired look at society through the lenses of a teenager; a powerful play that shows that sometimes the most relatable pieces are universal due to their specificity.

Pippin by Cygnet Players was an enjoyable evening spent listening to Schwartz’s music in a fun and well acted interpretation of this musical.

Last night I saw Sabrage…. (The show not the opening of champagne!).

This show promised a cabaret blending acrobats , French glamour and high end spectacle and it does exactly what it said on the tin, or in this case bottle!

Last night Sedos’ production of Hedda Gabler was a riveting take on this seminal piece of theatre and one where Hedda’s portrayal by Jennings-Grant was nuanced and unrelenting!

Sedos’ production Hairspray gives you everything you could want in a show, bursting with heart, songs you come away singing and a cast that embody their characters brilliantly. You certainty can’t stop the beat with this show and why would I want to try!
