Lmao I had some insane luck playing through Scarlet. Every pokémon on screen except the party are natural shinies I happened to catch in standard gameplay!

It's really wonderful - an example of the genre done very correctly in my opinion.
It's gratuitous at times but you can't avoid that with the genre, and the logic for it in the novel is brilliant

Dungeon Crawler Carl is absolutely unhinged, so there are points that feel... gratuitous.
However it might be the best "The System is evil and must be destroyed" LitRPG I've ever read. Of the list it might be the most outright brilliant series.
