MOUSE KLUB is imo one of the key queer films of the 70s — a scathing satire of Fred Halsted, clone culture, Americana, and M*cky M*use. Its last public screening was at the second-ever Frameline in 1978, where it reportedly nearly caused a riot.

Frankly, I see this as further evidence of the hollowing-out of the value of professional education. If an MLS is just a way to pay-to-play for higher salaries, instead of a way to engage with and prepare for professional practice, it makes sense to feel this way. But this is a different problem.
