A 6th grader wanted a book with a chocoalte chip cookie recipe. None had one, so I wrote mine down for her, and we chatted about the science of a good cookie. She brought me this masterpiece. Now I want to teach home ec. #LibraryLife

Oops. Totally missed this #MGLit blogger milestone. And apparently about 4,000 people (or bots?) look at my blog every day. That's wild. And yet, I have fewer than 400 followers. Meh. Would rather read books than stats.

Since I will still be employed next year (levy passed!), I'm going to walk on the wild side and finally replace my glasses after ten years. Very exciting!

FINALLY found these books from my childhood and read them to my grandson. So evocative, and even my daughter can quote lines from them. "I eat a cheese sandwich without any bread" is an especial favorite!

Did anyone else notice that the @simonkids.bsky.social "Lee Heart" books are reworked "Angela Darling" books? Sneaky! A student and I pored over the two to find the differences, and she checked out both books.
