I FINALLY got to sign my contract today! When I was student teaching, someone said to me "Don't be shocked if no one hires you, they don't like new teachers"

To my surprise, they were SO WRONG! My school loves that I am a first-year teacher, and has been SO supportive of me 🤍

Late night post! That's what happens when you're in the middle of moving, and trying to set up your classroom 😅

I miss my Student Teaching kiddos SO bad! Not to brag, but I swear they were the best students ever.

I was lucky enough to bond so well with all of them, and create a wonderful student-teacher relationship! Thanks to these kiddos, I gained my confidence as a teacher.

So grateful for them today 🤍

A promise I made to my students from my Student Teaching placement was that even though they couldn't be at my graduation, they'd still walk across the stage with me!

On my grad cap, each of their names were glued on, so that we could all cross the stage together 👩‍🎓

This summer I worked at Cranbrook Institute of Science as a Summer Camp Educator!

This job gave me SUCH great opportunities, ideas, and experiences for my new position 🦕

Now, I am taking so many of those ideas, lessons and experiences with me as I begin teaching this fall!

This is my current classroom! I am taking over from a previous STEAM teacher who left, and I would love to make this space my own.

I am lucky enough to have been left lots of materials, but there is still things that I am missing and would love to have in our space!
