Denise Mina is a terrific writer and 'The good liar' is a terrific book. I think her books are getting better and better. Can't wait to read the next one

Just finished Simon Mason's excellent book, 'The woman who laughed '. It's the third 'Finder' mystery that I've read and I hope Mason is planning to write a whole load more. Really enjoyable

Just finished @nedboulting.bsky.social 's very entertaining book 'The accidental tour-ist: (final) despatches from the road.' Full of his trademark self deprecating witty anecdotes. Highly recommend it.

Just read 'Run' by Blake Crouch. Really entertaining, fast paced thriller. Not read anything by Blake Crouch before but I'll be looking out for his books now.

Just read @jakecampbell88.bsky.social 's excellent 'Between the salt and the ash'. It chronicles his pilgrimage around the passionate places among the passionate people of the North East. A place I still think of as hyem.

Just finished @danielgraywriter.bsky.social very entertaining 'Food of the cods', an odyssey of Britain's fish and chip shops. Highly recommended . Just reading it made me feel hungry.

This is a fascinating book which looks at how the remains of fallen 'enemy' soldiers are dealt with. Highly recommend it.
