They are threatening Maine every single day. We had a school district fold to the threats just yesterday. Maine is full of rural towns that can’t afford an increase in taxes to pay for their schools. They need more than vocal support, they need the state to fill the funding gap.

What’s more helpful is to encourage people to buy local, grow as much of their own food as they can (even window planters can grow some veg), and build a community with neighbors who support each other. Panic shopping hurts all of us, specifically folks with less disposable income
