I've been "working" on this project for months...took a couple of months off for neck surgery. Today I spent the beautiful afternoon on the patio listening to the birds sing and working on this. It was glorious!

May all beings have happiness and the cause of happiness. May all beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering. May all being have happiness beyond suffering. May all beings rest in equanimity, free from attachment and hatred.

Painting is done. First pieces of furniture have been moved in. The pouf is actually my meditation seat and will be moved in front of my alter once it is in the room. I'm so excited. There's still work to do, and I am pleased with the results so far!

Redecorating and creating my meditation room. All the coral..coral meditation pillow (pouf in the decorating world), throw pillows for the two chairs, a throw blanket, and a red and coral scroll with a quote from Buddha). These things alone have dulled my panic attack from earlier. Peace is mine.

Having a panic attack over the state of our government and all that is happening. Been controlling things I can control and now having my favorite tea in my favorite mug. How do you practice self-care?

Today we start painting the room my daughter moved out of and turn it into my meditation room. While I miss my daughter, I am very excited to bring new energy into the room, thus the house. The color will/should be much like the old color, but the ceilings will be done this time.
