Wolverine is the only character where I think the muttonchops "work" and that's only because he's a short-king with an anime hairstyle. He's basically a weeb.

I wanted to draw Raven with Jericho/Joseph Wilson because canonically they were sorta made for each other, and it makes a lot more sense for her to be with Jericho than Beast Boy.
However, those sideburns are a huge NOPE for me. There's no way I'm gonna draw him with those.

I was watching "The Invisible Man" last night and he's always like "YOU BETTER LISTEN TO ME. OR I'LL STRANGLE YOU!!!"
Getting strangled by a 5' 7" naked guy doesn't seem like much of a threat, even if he is invisible. Maybe he has Extreme Short King Energy though.

Clearly Masashi Tanaka memorized the anatomical intricacies of every animal on the planet and learned exactly how lighting would work on them in every possible pose imaginable and in every weather condition on every continent. He didn't use photos. Each volume of Gon took him 30 years to make 🙄

I don't understand this whole anti-reference thing I keep seeing floating around in the art community these days. How is anyone supposed to do portraits without reference? Memorize everything? That's impossible!

For the early part of the week I was all art blocked, tired, and frustrated with work, and I thought something was wrong with me. Then I remembered I have also been on a diet, and I think I was just hungry. I had a bowl of broccoli yesterday for lunch. I had vegetarian hamburgers for supper.

I made a version without the dialog and tbh I think I like it better. It's a lot more ambiguous. They're just kinda staring at us. It's almost creepy!

It is called a "chork". It is a chopstick/fork! They used to be available at Panda Expresses. My headcanon is that Tokyo-3 Arby's has them because it's Japan.

Everyone always tells me my characters look like they're from TLA or Korra, which is weird because even though I've done a lot of Korra art, I've never watched an episode of either show. Google Lens confirms, because whenever I use it on my pictures, it always suggests art from those two shows 😅

Ayane is in Ninja Gaiden 4... They updated her outfit, and she looks a bit older. I think I'll stick with drawing her in the OG look.
