Many of the oldest Bibles in the Vatican are restricted because they have radically different - but more contemporaneous- interpretations of what Christ meant.

They did this in the 70s when they "re-translated" the part about man lying with another man. If you go back to any foreign print Bible before then, it did not say the same thing. There was nothing in the Bible outlawing gay people. And, of course, in Biblical times, many people were at least bisex
